My teacher

Created by EMMA 3 years ago

I was in Mr. Naji's class in school. He was one of my favourite teachers! He loved maths and I loved playing Countdown numbers games in class. He was passionate about theatre and cast me as Alice in our school play of Alice in Wonderland. My mum was a single parent with two children who didn't drive so she didn't want me to do after school rehearsals. He was so kind and wanted me to do the part, he offered to give me lifts home. I remember the first time getting into his car, it was full of rubbish! I was shocked, 'Sir!' Aren't teachers meant to be tidy? He said, 'Don't tell the others!' Haha.

I went on the Lledr Hall trip. On the last night, we had a talent show. People sang and danced and even though he had was poorly, Mr. Naji came down. We all danced to Five and Steps with flashing lights. It was so much fun. The last song of the night was 'Angels' by Robbie Williams and I remember belting this out with him by the stereo. I am so glad I have this memory of him. I didn't know this would be the last time I'd see him. I have written this message because after changing career, I am going to be a teacher from September. It make me think of you. I will have my own class! It's so exciting. I just hope I can inspire children like you inspired me. Thank you for the memories.
